I think people want to preserve this. And, as importantly, people know that will be the first node of a Canada Basketball Hall of Fame. There’s no physical Canada Basketball Hall of Fame as we sit here today, they induct people, but there’s no where to go see and be inspired by all these people before us.
The cost for the entire project is expected to be $18 million with funding targeted equally from private donors, provincial contributions, and federal support. Currently the dedicated fundraising team has raised over $2.5 million of the targetted $6 million from private donors.
